I dont know much about Stargate but from context I would say its a replicate of a gate to the stars.  From the tv to your desk.

This is a basic Stargate that I made at school. It prints best with 30 percent fill and 4 shells. Use the ring to lift the gate of the built plate. Hope you enjoy this design. ...:)
