On October 14th, 2013, additional .step and .sat files were added as per request; however, the holes on the leaves couldn't be included in the saved .step or .sat files through Solidworks for an unknown reason. The hinge, drawn at a community college, is 1.5" wide by 2" tall with 0.075" thick leaves and a pin housing outer diameter of 0.175". Each leaf has two 0.250" dia countersunk holes located 0.5" horizontally and 0.719" vertically from the centerline. The hinge rotates 90 degrees in one direction and 45 degrees in the other. The attached pictures exclude the holes due to it being a test print, and a video is available for download. Only the .stl file is currently published; if you need the 2012 Solidworks .sldprt file, leave your email address as a comment. Kishwaukee College in Illinois uses a Dimension uPrint SE Plus printer with CatalystEX version 4.3 software to print this hinge in about 35 minutes in a flat position or 90 minutes in a vertical orientation at a resolution of 0.010" and solid infill, with smart support material generation. Please share your feedback on its usefulness.
