<h4>Design Notes</h4><ul><li>Originally designed for giving plastic welding rods a home, using spare material already on hand.</li><li>Pipe thread is a 1-½" BSP thread.</li><li>Endcaps are tapered at 0.5 degrees and friction fit well.</li><li>Fixed end-cap and threaded end-cap have hexagonal faces so that the tube does not roll away if set down on a surface.</li></ul><h4>&nbsp;</h4><h4>Assembly</h4><ul><li><strong>Important</strong>: fit the threaded fitting first, and tighten the threaded cap into position before applying the fixed end-cap (with your o-ring or the printed gasket) so that the entire tube sits flat on a table. If you apply the fixed end-cap first, you may not get the threaded fitting to line up well.</li><li>Intended for 1-¼" PVC, but you may have to adjust for tolerances - threads will print fine on a well calibrated printer, but may struggle otherwise.</li><li>Print with extra walls for strength as desired.</li><li>Use an appropriate glue/solvent to join PVC conduit to the endcaps.</li><li>Optional gasket can be printed in TPU, or an appropriate o-ring used to <i>improve </i>water/air tightness. Printed parts should not be considered watertight due to small voids in top/bottom infills.</li></ul><h4>Uses</h4><ul><li>Use to store thin objects that need organization.</li></ul>
