Hello fellow Thingiversers! Up for your consideration is this printable and functional earth anchor. Nothing to tie your winch line to? No problem! Use it to pull your rig out of a tight jam on flat ground or in the rocks and trees. Go ahead, get stuck. This bad boy is the only winching accessory your scale rig can't get by without. (get it? get by?) Throw out your hooks, tie it right to the winch line and never get stuck again!! Ridiculously simple, extremely effective Instructions Settings are: Printing this with an Infill of 100% is probably best. 1 or 2 shells .2 layer or better. No raft or support is needed (raft is optional) You could scale it up a bit to fit the look of the truck. The larger the better. Use ABS preferably. I haven't tried PLA and I am sure it will still work but I think that ABS will hold up better to the riggers of being used and abused. It offers better deflection and tensile strength in this application. I have included both components on one tray and separately if you want a bi-coloured print or paint as you like. I used Tamiya chrome silver model paint (X11) with a light coat of fine white primer. Not a scratch on it yet. The parts just slide together. You could glue or acetone the parts together or leave them separate. The design of the anchor in use will hold it in place and if you need to swap parts you could.
