<p>The venerable five quarter ton.</p> <p>Essentially, a 1976 Chevy k30 1 1/4 ton truck purpose built in the Oshawa plant for Canadian military service.</p> <p>With a SBC 350 gas engine under the hood, it was equipped with a number of special equipment rear bodies. They filled every imaginable light vehicle role in the CAF until they were replaced (for better or worse) with the LSVW.</p> <p>In US service a very similar truck predated the HMMVW. Called the M1008, it was built in '83 and used a diesel engine. <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commercial_Utility_Cargo_Vehicle">https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commercial_Utility_Cargo_Vehicle</a></p> <p>This is a passable facsimile of that vehicle as well.</p> <p>I've modelled a basic empty truck, and a couple swappable rear modules.</p> <p>There were also line trucks and MRT versions.</p> <p>If you have good reference photos of any variant I haven't modelled please let me know!</p> <p>Print with bed-only supports and thin walls on, for best results.</p> Category: Vehicles
