1-100 Scale WW2 Soldiers – remix of Gary Bergman’s crew figures These are intended for wargaming at 1-100 to 1-150 scale. The figures are simple and lack detail, but seem to look OK when printed on my DaVinci filament printer. I started with Gary Bergman’s crew in the German 150mm SP on the Lorraine chassis. I cut one of the figures into head, torso, upper legs, lower legs, upper arms, lower arms, hands and feet. I added spheres at the joints to improve smooth connections at different orientations. I changed the feet to a bulkier shape to improve printability. Gary's original heads did not print well for me, so I used heads from some of his other vehicles. I also made some hats, etc. from scratch. Weapons were created from simple shapes to the general outline of the those in Gary’s various files. From there, I assembled figures in the different poses, re-using the same figure/pose with different weapons, heads, etc. The figures are mounted on individual stands, which are set on stubs, which are set in turn on a base. The base should make painting in sets easier. The figures can be separated from the base after painting by cutting the stubs just below the stands. The remixing was done with MS 3DBuilder. There are *.3mf and *.stl files for all the figures I made. There is also a 3mf file for all the separate parts I used – heads, torsos, weapons, etc. The long-term plan is to make sets of figures for Britain (8th Army in shorts, and European Theater), Germany (Africa Korps and Europe), US (Europe/Pacific), Russia and Japan, assuming I don’t run out of steam before I finish. If someone wants to participate in this project, leave me a message describing your interest, skill level, etc. This first upload is a teaser, to see if there is interest in the subject. The following sets are available at this time: British 8th Army Artillery Kneeling British 8th Army Infantry Advancing
