1/10th scale RC Farm Trailer

A very large farm-style trailer featuring checker plate toolbox and loading ramp (servo operated if desired) and wood effect panels. As well as the printed parts shown here you'll need some 25mm (or 1") aluminium angle, a suitably sized piece of 8mm plywood/mdf/why, some lengths of 5mm steel rod for the axles (preferably), 4 regular or wide 1/10th scale rc car wheels and tyres, and a few assorted screws. This is a very large trailer - the like of which you might find transporting hay bales or heavy equipment in a farming scenario. Coming in at over 60cm (2 feet) feet long and 35cm (14") wide it is also pretty heavy so if all you want to do is tow another 1/10th scale car around you might want to look for something a bit smaller and lighter. Build Tips:- You'll want to print two of each (a left and right hand version) of these files... Axle Mount.stl Trailer Mudguard.stl ...and 4 of your choice of 22 or 27mm wheel spacers (depending on the width of your chosen wheels). The "Blank Numberplate.stl" "Pushrod Links.stl" and "Pushrod Steady.stl"files are how I got the tailgate working with a servo which I housed in the toolbox. The (admittedly rather long) push rod I fed through a couple of supports underneath the chassis to prevent if flexing too much. "Wood Base.stl" is included for completeness sake and while you can happily take the dimensions from it it should not be printed. Likewise "Side Aluminium.stl" (make two - one a mirror image of the other) and "Front Aluminium.stl" which have been included merely as an indication of how I cut the aluminium frame pieces for mine. If you have a welder you may well prefer to use that and make your joints differently to mine. Printed in no-name PLA with .a 0.4mm nozzle, 0.2mm layer height, 0.8mm line width and 50% infill to enhance durability.
