Just uploaded Top_Hull_Solid.stl - I've been told that there are some printing issues with the version that has the supports so I have removed the supports from this piece. hopefully that will help. Still haven't been able to print this myself as my 3D printer is currently down for repairs. Note: This is still a work in progress as I have not yet printed the model out. I have essentially cut up and re-meshed this model in Blender, there should be very to little non-manifolds. I am currently working on printing a new frame for the printer i have (Anet A8) and once that is completed will begin work on the printing process itself. I've used blender to make the model as clean as possible, then I export to STL for testing using Slic3r Prusa Edition. I have not tested the pieces in Cura yet I have the model separated into 7 parts: Top Hull: Completed, there are some small non-manifolds on the model but in Slic3r it doesn't seem to impact the model I have added supports to the inset window sections as well as the main bridge area so hopefully those areas will have plenty of support. Exporting to gCode it states it should take around 6 hours to print using Slic3r Prusa Edition settings: Layer Height: .06 First Layer Height: .1 Perimeters: 3 Horizontal Shells: Top solid Layer: 3 Bottom Solid Layer: 1 Infill: 10% Octagram Spiral <- using this setting to help the secondary deflector be supported Bottom Hull: Completed, no non-manifolds that imapct the model in Slic3r Top_Aft: Completed, a few non-manifolds but nothing that impacts slicing Bottom_Aft: Completed, manifolds but not impacting slicing Sec_Def_1c and Sec_Def_2a - the secondary deflector Completed, and uploaded, also updated the mix file Note: you can mirror the following pieces when using the slicing software of your choosing or grab the other from the Meshmixer file Top Nacelle: Completed, manifolds looking ok Bottom Nacelle: Completed, Manifolds looking ok Outer Nacelle: Completed, Manifolds looking ok My goal is to make the model printable hollow as to internally light it. That is still a bit away right now as the two main parts (Top and Bottom Hull) need supports. Once printed I will add what settings I used I have attached a Meshmixer Mix to the downloads in case anyone wants the model assembled so you can see where the cuts were made.
