Modified geometry slightly to allow shoes to sit a little bit more level than the originals. Size of required connecting rod also modified to be 1/2 inch dowel. In this iteration the dowel is contained between the two ends and won't slide out. A #8 pan head screw sits below the front of the unit making for clean-looking installation.
