This started as a simple drop down overhead camera holder based around 1/2" pvc. Late night brain said, make it positional. So here we are, parts and pieces that you can cobble together into a static mount an X position mount an X/Y position mount an X/Y/Z position mount any combination there of You can have any number of height adjustment pieces, but i would recommend just the 2 sections to get both the highest and lowest points you plan to use. The lowest pvc cap is a standard gopro/action camera mount, there should be no shortage of methods to connect your camera to it. I included a clip on loop that you can use to manage cables with zipties, or to add another point for tieoff. Use screws where you don't want moving pieces, but you shouldn't use a screw in the sliding T bar clips if you want it to slide. Be smart, this will hold a decent amount of weight but i would not suggest you hang a full dslr/camcorder from it unless you print these fittings in a VERY strong material, you take the risks if you choose to use these prints for overhead work. Things you will need that you aren't printing: Any length of 1/2 inch pvc pipe, however i would suggest your X/Y lengths be 3 feet or less, it will flex. You could use 1/2" emt conduit or wood dowels to perhaps get longer spans. metric number 8 x 1/2 inch self tap screws to secure the pvc and couplers String/Rubber band/spring if you want to use the 'telescoping' Z axis there are loops( circled in orange) on some of the pieces where you can tie them off to secure a specific height. many of these parts are modifications of other parts i've found here on thingyverse but i don't have the originals to mark as remix, this should be compatible with all other 1/2" pvc couplings/parts available.
