1/2" Romex Conduit Exit Clamp

1/2" Romex Conduit Exit Clamp

I was building a wall in my basement and needed to run some Romex to it, but it didn't line up with an easy place for a splice box. I ended up getting some 1/2" metal conduit, running the Romex through it and then into the wall. NEC states you need to have some sort of clamp or insulation where the Romex enters or exits the conduit. I've seen drawings of these on forum posts, but can't actually find them at Home Depot or Lowes or Amazon. Being that I want to stay NEC compliant, I designed these up. It's possible to install this AFTER the wire has been run, too, but it's a little bit tight for 12/2 or 10/2 after the fact. Either way, install 2 M3 heatset inserts in the back of the main part, and use 2 M3 screws to put the clamp on. Then use 2 zip ties in the grooves on the collar that goes around the conduit. And before anyone says it, YES you are allowed to put Romex (NM cable) in conduit, and its REQUIRED in areas where the wire needs to be protected. https://diy.stackexchange.com/questions/31149/can-romex-nm-b-cable-be-run-through-conduit
