1:2 Samus Varia Suit (MP3) - HQ files

This is a 1:2 articulated figure of Samus' Varia Suit from Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, standing 1m tall. The model is from the game, extracted with Metaforce, and can also be found at the Models Resource dot com. Im using this page as a "high poly" counterpart of the one Ive already posted, many of the files still have large triangles, but the curved surfaces are smother. Low poly version - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5934452 Most of these pieces can be printed in a 200x200 bed, but the legs will need a larger space. Instructions for assembly are included in a PDF file. Several parts are also grouped together by color. Arms and (most) of the leg pieces should be printed in gold colored filament, the upper torso in red or copper, the lower torso and inner thigh in yellow, and articulations should be printed in black. You will need: At least 3 rolls of gold (4 to be safer), 2 copper, 2 yellow, 2 black, 1 green or silver for the cannon, and 1 transparent also for the cannon. View the attached .txt file for more details. This is still a work in progress and pieces might be replaced with new improved versions later on. Assembly requires two ¼" x3" (M6 x 75mm) screws for the hips and a handful of 3/16" screws (or M5) of different lenghts for everything else, these are as follows: Six - 3/16" x1" - 5mm x25mm (ankle and arms) Two - 3/16" x1 1/2" - 5mm x40mm (elbow) Two 3/16" x3" - 5mm x75mm (shoulder) Two 1/4" x3" - 6mm x75mm (hip) Four 3/16" x2 1/2" - 5mm x65mm (legs) Five 3/16" x2" - 5mm x50mm (leg2, knees and torso) Two 1/4" x2 1/2" - 6mm x65mm (cannon) Use of lock nuts is recommended. The model has holes for more screws for extra securing, but the pegs turned out to be more than good enough, however they are still required for tightening the articulations.
