This is a small 1.25" helical focuser for a Newtonian telescope. The helical barrel is dimensioned to be a bit loose, so there is a setscrew hole in the side of the base that must be tapped for an M8 screw, and an M8 nylon bolt screwed in to provide tension and to hold the focuser in place when desired.
