1/35th scale Panzer Maus V2

This is still a work in Progress, I have sliced them into multiple pieces to make it easier to print in 1/35th scale. This is a remix from various sources converted to 1/35th scale and easier to print. This is as close to 1/35th scale I can get it to, this is due to the limitations of most printer bed size. I have not printed this out yet, I will eventually, got too many projects going and not enough printing time. Post your prints if you get it done. The gun barrel will require a 6 mm OD brass or aluminum tubing with a length of 200 mm, 40 to 45 mm of which will be inserted into the rear mast. More accurately, the Barrel should be 155 mm from where I sliced off from the mast. Materials needed: 6 mm o.d. brass or aluminum tubing, for the gun barrel **Warning** Just so you know some parts will take a long time to print and there are a lot of parts going into this build. I will continue to improve and make the printing process a little more easier. As I mentioned in this project, it is an ongoing work in progress. There are currently at least 38 files to print. It will take a lot of filament to print this unit. Use a raft when printing the vertical pieces such as the rear top armor. *Update: 9/30/19* Added letter designations to the tracks to identify which is front left/right and left/right center pieces, Rev A files *Update: 9/29/19* -Here is a pretty good reference and review about Panzer Maus VIII and Takom's model kit. https://www.themodellingnews.com/2017/05/in-boxed-wwii-german-super-heavy-tank.html# -Revised the center exhaust ports to print better, Rev B -Posted pictures of my mock up turret with gun barrel *Update: 9/28/19* Changed the print position of this piece to a vertical print, it shows a better detail. The file is 1-35 Maus Rear Side Armor RH. So far I am halfway printing this tank out. It looks good so far, I will post some photos asap *Update: 9/26/19* Changed the diameter of the tubing to 6 mm, as 5 mm was a tad small and loose inside. Made slight adjustments to the gun mast, Rev D files are uploaed *Update: 9/24/19* Fixed the correct gun barrel scale, Rev C for front and back *Update: 9/22/19* I've have revamped all the files, it is all in 1/35th scale or at least very close to it. I have deleted the old files but when I downloaded it, it still shows up, Thingiverse must be broken again. I've added a slight variation to the 1/35 Maus Main Gun Mast w/o barrel front half, it should print nicely. I reduce my print speed to 45 ms and .1 resolution *Update: 9/21/19* Looks like the files I saved are in 1/16th scale, I will correct them asap. BTW I suck at Math. *Update: 9/20/19* I may have the wrong dimensions for this tank, working on comparing the measurements to the Takom Maus model. Once I find out, I will make the correct adjustments. Atm it might be in the range of 1/16 scale, we will see. *Update: 9/20/19* Uploaded the rear portions of the turret, now prints in 4 sections, rear right inner/outer halves and left rear inner/outer halves. Its print time has been reduced from 15 plus hrs per piece to a 11 hrs or less. Using .2 mm print resolution. If you want to use .1 mm its also good but you will increase print time. I've used support on this print with zig zag chosen. I have printed the front part, now printing 1 of 4 for the rear, I will post pictures once I have all pieces printed. *Update: 9/18/19* Changed the position of the front turret, left and right inner, outer, reduced the print time. Still working on the rear halves *Update: 9/14/19* Redesigned the Main gun mast w/o Barrel into 2 parts, front half and back half. To connect the two, use left over brass tubing to align the two halves together for support. I've also split the front turret armor into 4 prints from two to reduce print time. I will upload the rear asap I've also added 8 more files, individual road wheels, gas tank, snorkel and rear deckplate. These are designed by dagwood1988 Here is is link https://www.thingiverse.com/dagwood1988/designs I am working on the tracks for the individual wheels set here, Will upload them when I have completed it. *Update: 9/04/19* Made the gun barrel insert area slightly bigger to accept the 5 mm brass tubing. The new file is called 1-35 Maus Main Gun Mast without barrel Rev A. I will print this tonight, 12 hrs, I will be using a raft and support with zig zag plus nothing in mesh fixes(we don't want to fill the holes) *Update: 8/18/19* Changed the positions on the split turret to print vertically. This will reduce the print time substantially and will require either a raft or brim setting for stability. *Update: 8/14/19* Made the Turret a little more printer friendly, I uploaded Rev B, for the turret files, The walls are more thinner and not using as much material. *Update: 8/13/19* Made a modification for those who don't want to print the gun barrel, the file is called "1/35 Maus Main Gun Mast without barrel". It will require a 6 mm OD brass tubing with a length of 200 mm, 40 to 45 mm of which will be inserted into the rear mast. More accurately, the Barrel should be 155 mm from where I sliced off from the mast. *Update: 8/12/19* Separated the long gun barrel into 3 parts, this will make it easier to print, It will have the middle barrel and barrel tip along with the Kanonenblende. I suggest using a raft if you plan to print this vertically. *Update: 8/11/19* Uploaded the tanks, turret and gun barrel, hopefully I am not not missing any parts or files If you found this useful, please donate what you think it is worth to my paypal.me/NightStone. Help cover the time of design. Thanks, Enjoy!
