RIP Cornerstone 1/87 blast furnace I've tried to simplify the construction as much as possible, but this is a blast furnace so there's a lot of parts. To make it manageable, I've broken the build up into segments. Cast house Furnace/hearth Loading dock Stoves & Miscellaneous elements like exterior piping, washing tank, smokestacks, etc Parts are colour-coded in the included diagrams for ease of assembly. Just ignore the massive list and print what you need as you need it - a lot of it is extraneous detail stuff that you may or may not require. I've included a segment of roofing/siding you can resize as needed, but I suspect most modellers will have a preferred method of replicating corrugated metal from foil. The aluminum foil/spaghetti trick works. I'd suggest that, rather than spending days printing flat roofing material. For the handrails (not including those on the loading dock), print a few of the segments and cut to length as needed. I've scaled this to roughly 1/87, and all parts (including the furnace) will fit on a stock Ender 3. All parts should be printed flat if possible. Brick columns should be printed upright. I've tried to keep overhangs to a minimum, and they should't require support material. Ultimately, this isn't intended to be a comprehensive kit, and there are still components missing. This is a foundation that can be detailed and expanded upon as desired in ways that the Cornerstone kit was limited: Add additional (modular) bays and furnaces! Single or double track elevated loading docks! Rows of early 1900's style smokestacks to blight the skyline! Deny respiratory ailments and refuse class-action payouts!
