Well, another design using the Burt-McCollum sleeve valve technology. Based on the geometry of the 6.5 ccm single and 13 ccm 180-V I designed THE DREAM - a 10 cylinder double row radial engine, displacement 65 ccm. The port geometry is simplyfied but improved (more opening space, better timing). As it was on the british Bristol Hercules / Centaurus engines, this one uses a vast amount of gears to drive the sleeves, but ist works well. The only disadvantage is that the center section has to be built with a greater diameter compared to the more common poppet valve designs. The only thing I am not so habby about is the crankshaft that still consists of - according to my opinion - too many parts.
