Here is a metal, spring-loaded update to https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3730357 New rocker spring-cap design is ideal. Hole for spring is 8mm. Tested with 0.4x5.5x10mm steel spring. Worked great. Feel free to experiment with several metal spring lengths? (e.g We clipped a 10mm spring down to 7mm & the thing got wimpy.)
