120mm Fan Mount System

<p>This is a <strong>120mm computer fan mounting system</strong>. &nbsp;I've included a remix of <a href="https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1595208">120mm Hex fan grill by imKieva</a> with some simple locator tabs, but honestly you can use just about any grill out there so long as it is approximately the same thickness (or thinner).</p><p>The flexibility comes from the fact that the mount base is threaded to take multiple different mount options. &nbsp;I've included one for a standard 1/4-20 thread; which, is universal for camera equipment including tripods. &nbsp;I'm working on a GoPro mount and Ram ball mount that will simply screw into the base. &nbsp;I'll also probably create one for the printable "gorilla" arm systems out there.</p><p>The mount works just fine with standard self-tapping computer fan mount screws &nbsp;like <a href="https://www.amazon.com/Easycargo-Computer-Screws-120mm-Cooling/dp/B07VLHBL5Q/ref=sr_1_3?crid=23XVD1J70139S&amp;keywords=computer+fan+mounting+screws&amp;qid=1654096580&amp;sprefix=computer+fan+mounting+screws%2Caps%2C46&amp;sr=8-3">these from Amazon</a>. &nbsp;In case you don't have any, I've included printable nuts and bolts that will do the trick. &nbsp;Note that the bolts are a tight fit, and I'll probably shave 0.1mm off them at some point. &nbsp;Also, have a care not to cross thread the tiny nuts and bolts... same for when screwing the mount into the base.</p><p>Print all as shown in the diagrams. &nbsp;No supports needed with the show orientation. &nbsp;Print the nuts and bolts at your finest printable resolution. &nbsp;The base was printed at a std. resolution of 0.2mm, but could probably benefit from something finer. &nbsp;The screw in mount was printed at my printer's best fine resolution.</p><p>Infill for the nuts and bolts should be at least 80%. &nbsp;For the rest of the parts, it's up to you, but I'd go with 20%+. &nbsp;For the base you may want more like 40%+. &nbsp;Infill pattern is your choice.</p><p>I've included the full Fusion 360 modelling file, so if you want to mod it, you don't have to do the stupid import of STL files. &nbsp;Let me know if you create something cool or make a significant improvement.</p>
