I wanted a way to be able to control my LED strips around my Di3, so I remixed this shroud to include a relay from Amazon (http://a.co/iozbBre) built into the side, with a hole in the top for the relay wires. These wires go up to my RaspberryPi that runs OctoPrint - and from OctoPrint, I have a button on the interface that triggers the relay, and turns the lights on and off. When you add plugins like the GCODE System command plugin, you can add turning on and off the lights to the actual models like this: 1) Turn on lights (for webcam/monitoring camera) 2) Print 3) Turn off lights (I also use an EcoBee plug, so I can add the "turn off printer" at the end if I want to as well)
