122 film spool

My oldest camera is from approximately 1912 and it was made for 122 type roll film, which hasn´t been produced since 1971. There are adapters to use 120-sized roll film, which is still widely available, but that solution will not cover the full picture area, which is huge. So what´s the solution? Either use single sheets of film and load your camera in the dark before and after each shot like I´ve done a few times, which is ok for testing, but quite inconvenient - or you can slice&roll your own 122 film. However for that you will need at least two spools. My camera only had one, but at least that one made it possible it to measure the correct dimensions for making more. Instructions: Print with at least 50% infill. Press the two halves together, use a few drops of glue to secure them if you like. The ends of the spool are quite thin, so depending on your print material, it might be recommendable to use black spray paint on the finished spool to make it more light proof.
