Here is a jig I made to aid in building the right hand circular polarized 1280Mhz cloverleaf (IBCrazy) style antenna. A big thank you to IBCrazy for designing these awesome antennas. 5-18-14 Added the Left hand polarization jig. Instructions First watch this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hfyCScT76Hs Bend the wire to fit into the wire form leaving about a 1/4 to 3/8" sticking through the hole. Follow the instructions in video but use the jig to make it easier. I use a dab of hot glue to hold the lobe to the edge of the jig. It is also easier to start by soldering one lobe to the coax shield before using the jig. Also you will either need to clamp the jig to the side of a table or use something to elevate it off the surface for the coax to hang freely. I usually just set the jig on top of a roll of packing tape. An easy way to get the hot glue off is to put some rubbing alcohol one the glue as it will soften it up.
