This is a simple mount I created for my Suzuki Bandit 1200S from year 2003. I was looking for a way to charge the batteries of my navigation system. So I bought a socket for usual car charging cables. So far so good. But where to mount this thing? The provided mounting piece was designed to mount it on the handle bar. I do not like it when there are too much thing mounted to the handlebar. So it needed to be put somewhere else. So one option left was screwing it to the plastik cover in the cockpit. But then I would have to put holes in it. Finally I designed this simple thing to mount it in the middle of the cockpit. There is one center connection between the frame and the plastik cover. The advantage of this mounting position is that it is always at a fixed position. When you move the handlebar the cables dont move. So this adds a lot extra to the lifetime on this thing (on my old motorcycle the cable failed almost every 600km because it was moving with every move of the handlebar). The socket I used is this:http://www.louis.de/index.php?topic=artnr_gr&artnr_gr=10032936
