This will adapt a marine grade 12v plug to a bench top power supply. It allows me to test 12v car adapter circuits without climbing in and out of my car. I had originally intended to have the 12v plug mounted in my power supply, but I ran out of real estate, so an external adapter with a bit of extra cord was created. Plug: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00G3ZPYPC Post-Printing I used 18g wire for the leads, and banana plugs for the connectors. Solder on the wires to the plug, mount in the sleeve (you have to use long pliers or the like to get the nut to tighten). Then feed the wires through the cap. Leave a little slack in the sleeve, and then put a zip tie around the wire so it won't pull through. Use glue (I used ABS/Acetone slurry) to seal the cap on. Then attach the banana plugs.
