Remixed from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3904554. - Basically well explained by wesley1988 - added new clip on with lamp base (see video) Use cura to merge your moon and 35 mm diameter globe cylinder to create the moon gcode For simplicity, i have merge the moon and 35 mm diameter globe cylinder stl as a single gcode (moon gcode). For anyone who want to make a simple moon lamp, you need the following: - moon (gcode) - led light clip x 2 - led light clip holder - wood base - led light (remote or bluetooth, easily available from aliexpress or tao bao) Customized moon lamp ================== Preparing the photo -------------------------- Download high resolution image from https://www.solarsystemscope.com/textures/ (see “Planet” folder) Get family photo and cut out images with GIMP in transparency mode -- “free select tool”, trace out image, Invert, cut image, save as png file GIMP -- Import 2k or 8k moon as layer -- Import png photo as layer and resize (right click image & select “layer”, not “image”) -- Select “Cage transformation” tool and modify layer in hour-glass shape Preview photo effect by uploading to https://www.maptoglobe.com/# Insert image into - https://lithophanemaker.com/ or - Luban sphere lithophane (https://www.facebook.com/groups/1067858546711484/) *** Please check youtube on the use of GIMP software********
