I have taken the dimensions from several different arcaswiss rail copies and modified them to work well as 3d printed parts. All of the corners contain a fillet which prevents part delamination often seen in 3d parts where sharp angles terminate when they are put under load. The two slots in this rail can contain a 1/4-20 quick release bolt with a 12mm diameter or smaller head which should be no more than 5mm thick. I am using 3D XTech Carbon Fiber PETG and it works beautifully for functioning parts, this adapter easily holds a 200mm F3.5 lens and dslr without the slightest sign of flexure. I recommend petg over PLA or ABS because it does not absorb moisture, the oil in your hands will not compromise the structural properties of petg, a hot car is not going to have any negative effect on the petg, also I have tested my parts down to 17f and they did not become brittle. So its a nice plastic to use, especially when you go the carbon fiber route which is extremely rigid. The carbon does need to be hit with an 800 grit sanding sponge as it will develop some rough surface fibers, it takes about 5 minutes to clean up.
