This is a 150mm diameter ring lamp for assisting with video / photography. It's designed to sit on a tripod. This attaches to your tripod simply by glueing an M6 nut in place at the bottom as seen in the pictures. The inside is fitted with your LED strip of choice. I prefer WS2812 addressable LEDs so I can use an intelligent controller with it. Though any LED strip that doesn't get too hot will work just fine. A hole at the back has been made so you can feed cable through it. I found 4 core alarm cable was fine for powering and communicating with the 21 smart LEDS on the strip I installed. The base can be printed at 15% infill density.. Any colour you like. White is preferred for reflectivity though, or you could even insert reflective foil in the background of the housing. Layer height of 0.2mm is fine. For the diffuser, you can print that at around 10% infill. Adjust it as you like, this part doesn't take long to print. It's job is to soften the LED "dots" within for a smoother light. Just remember the more dense your diffuser is, the less light that can pass through it, so you trade intensity off for softness. Naturally, you will print this in transparent PLA. After you have fitted the LEDs and your cabling, the diffuser simply attaches by a minimal, discreet amount of superglue around the base edges.
