The 5 Key Design Considerations (Democratic Design):Function: A glass tube is set into a base that holds the Arduino. The job of the Arduino is to program the lights to turn on/off, change colours, change intensity, change speed, and even be set for different parameters in your home. This Arduino is kept hidden in the base and is connected to an external power source (outlet). Form: The overall shape of the lamp is a cylinder because it has a nice look to the eye. The lamp tube is made of glass while the base can be made of wood, metal, or plastic to match the customer’s home or taste. The Arduino is put in the base away from eyes because it hides all the wires and unappealing parts of the product.Sustainability: The lamp is made out of many different materials but mainly 3 are used at one time. For the tube, acrylic glass is repurposed, and plastic is kept as an option if customers want to pay extra; this convinces customers to avoid the plastic option and be environmentally friendly. At the bottom, is a casing for the Arduino, this is where the customer can choose between wood, metal, or plastic options that are available. Quality: This lamp is very comfortable due to its materials, and appealing to the eye because it looks like one large piece and the colour of the lights can be changed. It is very easy for the customer to use because they can control it all from one remote. This is why the lamp has a high standard of quality. Low Price: The lamp is priced reasonably for the features that it offers. It can be altered based on what the customer wants to have customized, and how environmentally friendly it can be.
