This is a slimline macbook pro stand, there are two channels to run cables under the laptop on either side. This stands the laptop 12mm off the desk which is just enough for airflow + up to a 9mm cable while keeping the laptop mostly flat on the desk. Rounded edges in most places, lays flat and rounded corners so it doesn't catch on things in your travel bag, as well as a ridge down the centerline to provide some rigidity.
