The War Elephant played a critical role in several ancient battles of renown, although its use decliend in the middle ages, due to rapidly evolving warfare and technology. Although this is true, the War Elephant was never a threat to well trained troops, especially those who had encounted them previously. The War Elephant brought more shock and awe to the battlefiled than the damage it professed. It was no weapon of mass destruction and was easily countered, the elephants were costly to keep and more often than not turned on their own troops in panic. Our plastic renditions of this model though are inexpensive and will not pose any danger to the user if they decide to turn on you or need to empty their bowels!
