The cigarette lighter in my 68 Camaro was old and rusty. The chrome plastic knob pulled off of the heater element, which was stuck in the socket. Once I got the element out, I didn't really care about using it to light cigarettes, but I did want something to support the chrome knob so there wasn't anything missing from the dash. This is a dummy plastic element that fits into the cigarette lighter socket, and holds the chrome plastic knob. I'm not entirely sure this was an original lighter, but this worked for me, so maybe someone else can use it too.
