Replacement part for 1998 Honda Civic hood latch. The pull part on the Civic hood latch can snap off in cold temperatures, and the only replacement available is the entire latch and cable. This design allows you to superglue this replacement latch over the remaining plastic on the cable from your last latch. It's customizable, so if you opt to remove the old plastic, you could decrease the inner cylinder size. I used superglue to attach this latch. I sanded down the old plastic, and filed the inside of the new latch slightly for a perfect fit. The photo is of the latch in place on the car.
