This is a avionics bay designed to fit in a PML 2.1" coupler for high power rockets. The sled is designed to hold a single stratologger CF altimeter, 9v battery, microswitch and all connectors and wiring. Space is tight however cable tie attachment points are provided for. The avionics bay is constructed using 2 4mm threaded rods spaced 38mm apart, 2 6mm threaded eye bolts and a selection of matching washers, nuts and cable ties. Holes for mounting the altimeter have not been so other similar sized altimeters may be mounted, for my av bay the standoffs were mounted by drilling pilot holes and directly tapping the screws into the sled. The micro switch was mounted in its slot with 2 pins in holes drilled through the end of the av bay. All parts were printed in ABS Disclaimer - I have designed and printed bulk heads and ejection charge cups for this av bay, however I chose to use matching laser cut plywood bulkheads and milled aluminium charge cups, personally as i have yet to test the strength of these to components (especially the bulk heads which will be required to take eject forces.
