I finally used some views of a locomotive at Temple, Texas museum to guide my firebox pads for sling stays. I have not done them with square wrenching ends or bigger diameters. I'm still thinking of moving the cylinders in and the valve bores out to get the valve gear to line up without long pins. Locomotives with really wide boilers used this. Maybe I need it on my big firebox narrow gauge. No more porcupine look in this one. I will add more colorful renders later. This is just one now as is.
