I need a little Wifi Yagi every once in a while so I thought I would make a 3d printed quick build antenna. While I was drawing it I thought I'd include a means to automatically measure the elements as I assemble it. Well then I of course needed a jig to create the driven element so I made that too. Assembles with 14 gauge solid copper wire. I use aluminum welding wire for all but the driven elements. Your local tig welder would probably give you one piece if you're nice. Just feed the wire in until it stops and trim. Do that 11 times and then bend the copper wire around the jig and solder on the coax or a connector. I glue in place with Duco cement. When you done, just clip off the measurement tabs. I tried to make a balum but I found it was too much work and not much better performance. Assembles in less that 10 minutes and increases my range 2 to 3 times. I've measured a real world gain of 10 to 11 db. Enjoy Kisssys W5SLW
