2.5" HDD/SSD Drive Caddy for 3.5" Bays

This is a drive caddy for mounting 2.5" SSDs or laptop HDDs in a 3.5" drive bay. Most new 2.5" drives come with their own adapter, but if you get a bare drive, or scavenge one from another computer/laptop/PS4 (don't ask), you're stuck scrounging for an adapter plate. Why buy something for a couple bucks, when you can use hundreds of dollars-worth of high-tech equipment to make one? The drive connectors go at the end marked with the "IDE / SATA" label, and there are pockets along the side rails for inserting 3mm hex nuts in case you really want to reef down on the case mounting screws. Holes are sized so that the typical 3mm case screws will bite a bit of plastic and self-thread into place as long as they are not over-torqued. Assembled drive caddy pictured next to regular retail part for reference. Supports for screw head relief on underside are baked into the model - no need for further supports - simply remove by hand via drill bit tip or screw driver. NOTE: Do not use PLA, unless you like your hardware melting itself into a shiny plastic tomb. ABS/ASA or Nylon recommended. PET-G may work as well, but has not been tested. Remember, even tiny 2.5" drives get fairly hot.
