This is my version of a 2.5" drive adapter to use the common, cheap 44-pin IDE to msata converters. Great way to install mSATA SSDs into older laptops. See photos for the mSATA converter this is designed for - these are the cheapest of these converters available as of 2022, and found at various storefronts. There is plenty of open space around for ventilation of the SSD components, while being very rigid. This was originally designed for installation using side screws, but I added top/bottom screw holes for any other trays that people may find in their laptops or drive trays. Note that one side has upper screw holes that aren't fully enclosed - there's not much I can do here while keeping everything to-spec for a 2.5" drive. There are plenty of holes and orientation options to use before going to these as a last resort, but they're there. My IDE to mSATA pcbs have some varying tolerances from one batch to another, so the clearance on this model is a little larger to accommodate. I use mine as friction fit. Fits 57.5mm*41.5mm mSATA to 44-pin IDE adapters. 8.4mm total adapter height, to account for variations between people's 3d printers.
