2 AA Battery case with switch for LED Lanterns

A remix of https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:832440 to power four to five red or yellow LED sky lanterns with 2 AA batteries that are hidden in a remixed battery case https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1096639 that has a sliding lid and eye hook for hanging, a lower compartment for the wiring, and an on/off switch. **Battery Case Assembly:** (1) Place FavioR's Battery Case onto a hard surface (battery side up) and gently force the outer case around it. You may need to shave some of the inner side of the outer case to snap it in place. (2) Insert battery prongs as described in https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1096639 and run two wires (opposite to the switch) to the bottom of the case for connecting to the LED lanterns (see pic) (3) Bend and twist the prongs of the black switch (see pic) to slide behind the battery prongs and attach to case with super glue. **Lantern Wiring Harness:** (1) Solder wires of varying lengths to four to five red or yellow 5 mm LEDs (2.0 - 2.2 V; 20 mA). (2) Thread the LED wires up through the lantern hook and twist the two wires. (3) Twist the cathode and anode wires of the lanterns together, solder, and thread the harness through the wire comparment hole after cooling (see pic). (4) Add a 10 Ω resistor to the harness. **Battery Box Lantern Assembly:** (1) Solder cathode and anode wires to the (+) and (-) wires of the battery box. (2) After cooling, secure wires with electrical tape to prevent crossing of the exposed wires.
