When I caught sight of the initial design, I envisioned a fantastic key chain for my daughter - she's 30 years young, but still has a whale of a time with dolphins. To make it more manageable, I scaled down the size by half and added a sturdy key chain hole. However, I was concerned about its durability (the first layer in the parts was only 1 millimeter thick), so I doubled up the weak points to 2 millimeters for added security. Furthermore, I reinforced the dorsal fin - my daughter managed to break hers within an hour of getting it - and the tail as well. While my finished product didn't quite measure up to the original design, it still gets the job done.
