Please take a quick 2 minute survey and help us create more models like this one! https://goo.gl/forms/MiyWYwno927Wb4TH2 This dynamic pointer device boasts two degrees of freedom, thanks to its clever use of compliant mechanism technology. The BYU Compliant Mechanisms Research group, backed by a NASA grant, developed the device. Three versions of the device are available: the original metal prototype file and two modified versions tailored for FDM printing with enhanced output connections. One version features thicker flexures for smoother printing, while the other boasts an improved output connection measuring 0.55x0.6 inches with a 0.25 inch hole. The hole perfectly accommodates a 1/4"-20 bolt, similar to those used in tripod mounts, and even includes a hex indentation on the bottom of the device. The adjuster knobs are also precision-cut as 0.25" hexagons, measured across to their parallel sides.
