Chinese 2-Inch N.P.T. Pipe union with brass seat. This union was modeled using dimensions pulled directly from the physical part for reasonable accuracy, with the exception that the octagonal faces in the model were extruded from perfect polygons, where in the actual parts the faces varied in width significantly. The taper from the root of the octagonal faces to their outboard edges has been preserved. The threads in the rendering are cosmetic. This model was created in Inventor 2014, and rendered in Showcase 2016.
