This is a valance clip for a set blinds that holds a 2 inch piece of wood at the top. Finding a replacement clip that was exactly 2 inches was impossible or incredibly pricey. Some clips say they're two inches but are really two and a half. I printed in ABS and also PLA wood. Both appear be strong enough however make sure to let the PLA cool down before using. Print Settings Printer: FlashForge Creator Pro Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .3 Infill: 100% Notes: You could print this with as little at 10% infill if you want and it'll still work, however I'd recommend 100%. Took my printer between 10-13 minutes per clip. Post-Printing Hatchbox Wood Filament FlashForge Stock Red ABS The two inch blinds and valance this is for. How I Designed This Design Process -Scanned the original clip with a normal HP printer scanner. -Cleaned up the scan in Photoshop and inverted it. -Auto traced the clean scan in Illustrator and saved the file as a DXF. -Imported the DXF into Blender and extruded the shape, exporting as STL. -Sliced the STL with Replicator G. -Printed on a FlashForge Creator Pro. Original Scan. The original clip was clear which made scanning a little difficult. Photoshop cleanup of scan and invert. Tracing Result from Illustrator
