2" to 1.25" Extension Tube

#Description 2" to 1.25" Extension Tube for astronomical gear. The tube itself is 10cm long, needed this because I was unable to get my planetary camera in focus. Looks like the focus pane is about 10cm behind my focuser. To address this issue, I quickly designed this in OpenSCAD, printed it and it saved my day and also quite some money. The rear end allows you to attach 1.25" accessoires like eyepieces or cameras. To do so, you need a m4 nut and a m4 screw with at least 15mm of length. Simple put a m4 nut in the hole, put the clamping ring in place inside the tube and put the screw through the nut. Done! #Source I added the OpenSCAD file for those who are interested \(^-^)/. It is a little bit messy as it is the result of something I like to call "duct-tape-development". You've been warned! #Tips * If you have trouble inserting the locking ring, reduce the infill percentage to make it more flexible. * If you have trouble inserting the nut, you may use a file or a knife to widen the opening a little.
