This is a pretty straight forward design that allows you to turn your 2" connector on a woodworking tool into a 4" connector. I use this on several of my tools as my shop air hose is 4" in diameter. It does have some additional raised sections in the smaller interior in order to account for those devices which have a locking type mechanism when attaching.
