the previous owner of my F150 removed the circular coinholder and crammed in a voltage gauged which was the wrong diameter and looked bad. They had cut away the locking plastic pieces from the trim to do so, so nothing could lock in any more. You clamp the USB plug to this adaptor, then slip this adaptor into the coin holder slot, then you clamp this adaptor into the dash. I recommend PETG or high temp filament inside a vehicle
