2004 Lexus LS430 Double Din Stereo Face Plate Mod

This is a Faceplate modification that I made out of the old stereo panel. The new stereo utilizes the existing mounts that held the original stereo unit in place. I found a way retain the functionality of the AC and Navigation unit up top by removing the PCB that controls them from the old stereo and mounting it behind the new unit. I spliced the stereo cables into the existing wiring harness. I also had to bypass the stock Mark Levison amplifier. I see a lot of people just bought new amps but I'm poor so I rewired the speaker cables straight from the new stereo unit. It could be louder but it's better than the intermittent volume error I was experiencing with the stock amplifier. I provided a picture of the board you need to keep but it's pretty obvious which one it is because it has the connection for everything on it. The board is also very well marked with clear and easy to read function descriptions printed on it.
