This was used on my 2004.5 Volkswagen Jetta TDI.I replaced the upper EGR valve with this block off plate.Make the part out of 0.125-0.1875" thick metal to avoid it lifting with higher boost. Also use a new gasket of some sort in between the plate and the intake manifold. Cork gasket or gasket maker.
