2014 3DR DIY Quad Kit Moon Shoes

thingiverse

A remix of sblach's 3DR Quadcopter moon shoes to produce padded landing feet mounts suitable for the 2014 3DR DIY Quad Kit. In theory, should also fit 3DR multirotors that use the same pattern feet (such as the X8 and Y6), but this Thing has not been tested against those models. Instructions This adds 4 units (and since we're all printing in mm, that's 4mm) to the height of the mounting hole to account for difference in the spacing of the 2014 kit mounting holes at the base of the legs. Pool noodle foam was cut in a miter box with a sharp kitchen knife, and glued to the feet with hobby-grade cyanoacrylate glue. The bottom spacers and screws were removed from each leg to accommodate the new feet. The mount holes were reamed out with a 1/8" drill bit and the feet attached with M3x.5x25 screws (which are just long enough to allow for the use of a jam nut, if you wish).
