2020 Rack System
thingiverse
The 2020 Rack System was crafted to simplify storing and utilizing rolls of filament, particularly with an MMU system that requires filament rolls to be positioned closely together. Engineered specifically for FDM printing, this rack system's interlocking parts have been fine-tuned to accommodate the imperfections inherent in FDM printing measurements. As a result, users planning to employ alternative print methods such as SLA may encounter a slight gap between interlocking components. I am currently working on integrating a filament guide using the same mounting system, which will seamlessly fit into the space between the spool holders. Additional Components Required: Spool Holder * M3x6 (M3x10 can be used) - (Quantity 4) * 608ZZ Bearings - (Quantity 2) * M3x10 - (Quantity 1, used in conjunction with a 2020 T-Nut) * 2020 M3 Series T-Nut - (Quantity 1) Note: The specified components are the ones currently being utilized; however, any 2020 Series T-Nut should function adequately. 2020 Bracket * M3x10 - (Quantity 2) * 2020 Series M3 T-Nut - (Quantity 2) This design has not undergone comprehensive testing and is still a work in progress. I encourage users to report any issues encountered, particularly regarding structural integrity. The rack should be capable of supporting rolls weighing up to 1kg, as well as handling approximately 10 rolls across the entire system. However, it is essential to note that this design has not been thoroughly tested. Future updates will be posted, and when available, I will indicate the current version number within each STL file. Each part will also feature a version number, space permitting. Please keep in mind that this is an ongoing project, and your feedback is invaluable in refining this design.
