My X axis movement was designed to open up the frame on top of my i3 clone, ensuring that the carriage wouldn't interfere with the Z axis movement. I incorporated parts from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1306326 and http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:920183 into the assembly. The Onshape link is https://cad.onshape.com/documents/dfc9e917ca53cbb3461ac532/w/8e5b1d4496900ee4749ac852/e/c80ce77be2081ed3ba671e23, where you can modify and customize the design. The filament guide relies on #8-32 SAE screws and nuts, which I had available. However, M4 screws will also fit into the holes, although the nuts are slightly smaller in diameter. To improve print quality, I increased the size of the opening in the filament guide, making it less restrictive than the original design. Print Settings: Printer: Cookie Bot Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 20-60% Notes: To achieve optimal results, I recommend using at least 1.2mm walls and top/bottom layers.
