2040 sawing jig

2040 sawing jig

thingiverse

This is a sawing jig I made for repeatable sawing of aluminium 2040 extrusions. They didn't work out as well as I hoped with a hacksaw though -- I got repeatably non-perpendicular cuts, but at least all the pieces were of the same length. Maintained on github: https://github.com/hyperair/aluex-sawing-jig/ Instructions Assemble with M5 capscrews at the length you need to cut. Start sawing. Try to saw as straight as possible to get perpendicular cuts -- I fail horribly at this, and decided to spend $10 getting it CNC-sawed instead.
